Hamilton Celebrates First Ferrari Victory in Barcelona

17/06/26
After nearly two winless seasons, Lewis Hamilton finally celebrated his first victory for Ferrari at the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona and strengthened his hold on second place in the World Championship standings.George Russell, who looked rejuvenated throughout the entire weekend, finished second ahead of Lando Norris. As a result, three British drivers stood on the podium for the first time since 1968. Championship leader Kimi Antonelli retired while running in second place, as did Ferrari teammate Charles Leclerc. Max Verstappen endured an unspectacular race to finish fourth, ahead of Oscar Piastri and Isack Hadjar. The Alpine drivers Pierre Gasly (7th) and Franco Colapinto (10th after a time penalty), along with the Racing Bulls pair Liam Lawson (8th) and Arvid Lindblad (9th), all finished in the points. The Formula One circus now heads to Spielberg, Austria, for the next round of the championship at the Red Bull Ring.
